D.O.G.S. 4th Round at Modern Golf & Country Club

Hail the D.O.G.S.!!!!!,

A big turnout for Round 4 at Modern with 36 players turning up. Light traffic allowed most golfers to arrive early which gave time for some socializing prior to heading out for play. Once again the course did a great job getting the D.O.G.S. started with players heading out to tees 1 and 10 at 11:30. After a few holes of play what started out as a lovely sunny day turned a bit wet. A heavy rain fell for about 3 holes and managed to give everyone a good soaking. Despite this play continued, everyone eventually dried off and the weather turned nice again allowing all players to reach the clubhouse after around 4 1/2 hours play.

A few old friends were back for some golf; great to see Bob St. Aubin, Audie Kaunang, James Ross and Cory Packard again. We also had some newcomers; welcome to Matt Timbrell, who introduced himself with a smooth 83, and Kush Sodhia. Glad to have you join, make sure to come back soon.

Richard Mau was in fine form shooting a 78 which was good enough for Lowest Gross and also taking a Drive & Pitch and Putting Champion with 33 putts! Watch out everyone, with only 2 rounds in Richard is rapidly climbing the leaderboard.

To the shock of everyone Kevin Dobson won a "Lowest" prize (other than lowest points) taking the Deemples Low Net with a 70. Kevin also managed a Runner Up with 38 points but could only smile on the outside, while seething on the inside, as he presented the Little Dog to Matthias Coessens for Weekly Champion.

We have reached the halfway point and following a round full of improvements James Bristow finds himself just in front of Craig Edwards. The rest of the pack is right behind Craig and many players still have a chance to get the Big Dog.
